Instructions for Oral Presenters

  1. Each invited oral presentation is limited to 30 mins while the oral presentation is limited to 20 mins, both inclusive of the Q&A. The Chairs of the sessions will be keeping to the time strictly. They will sound the bell once 5 mins before the end of your presentation. You should make a suitable conclusion to your presentation by then.
  2. There will be 3 mins Q&A immediately after your presentation.
  3. Presentation should preferably be done using MS Powerpoint 2003 or compatible. A laptop with LCD projector will be made available for all sessions. To minimise technical difficulties, we request all presenters to save your presentation to a USB storage device in a format that can be read by MS Powerpoint 2003 or compatible on a Window-based PC.
  4. Presenters should transfer their files to the laptops as early as possible. Preferable times for presenters to load in their files are during coffee-breaks and lunch. A student assistant will be available to assist the speaker in the presentation room (Rm 209).

  5. Presenters are requested to submit a short CV to the student assistant. A standard form is available at the registration counter at the conference.

Instructions for Poster Presenters

  1. The poster layout should be portrait and not exceeding A1 size, 841mm (H) x 594mm (W).
  2. Authors can start to put up their posters at Room 208 from 9.00am onwards on 13 July 2010. All posters should be put up by 12 noon on 13 July 2010.
  3. Posters must be removed by 4pm on 16 July 2010.
  4. The necessary stationery, eg tapes and stick-tack will be available on-site.
  5. Posters are to be put up according to the numbering on the poster panels.
  6. Authors must be present during poster session on 13 July 2010, 5.30pm to 7pm to explain their posters and answers
